Fresh from the Passoni workshop: The Titanio Classica Disco

The new Titanio Classica Disco is our most evergreen bicycle. Designed to retain the classic lines and feel associated with an artisan-made frame, we wanted to create something to elicit joy through both its handling and appearance. Unlike our more aggressive bicycles, each tube on the Titanio Classica Disco adheres to a traditional round pattern. In the same spirit, rather than employ an overly complex profile, the downtube on the Titanio Classica Disco has been selected to prioritise a lively and forgiving ride. Resulting in a harmonious silhouette, it synthesises the best of our heritage with the latest modern standards.

"We wanted to create a bike that would never grow old,” explains designer Matteo Visentini. To achieve this, modern features like disc brakes, bolt-through axles, expanded tyre clearance, and a tapered headtube are all accommodated without spoiling the bike’s classic lines. Resulting in a bicycle that’s timeless in appearance; it’s also among the lightest we produce.
Making it the perfect machine on which to escape into the hills, we decided to preview the Titanio Classica Disco by following the route of Stage 16 of this year’s Giro d’Italia. Travelling from Salò to Aprica, not only will it pass over the Goletto di Cadino, Passo del Mortirolo, and Valico di Santa Cristina climbs, but the route will also take Matteo past his home town. “I think this bike is my favourite’, says Matteo. “Riding through the high mountains and past the beautiful Lake Garda is the perfect introduction for the Titanio Classica Disco. Like the bike, it’s the kind of ride you’ll want to repeat over and over again”
